Heinz Zimmermann (politician)

Heinz Zimmermann (born October 28, 1882 in Zwickau , † June 20, 1968 in Lochau ) was an Austrian politician and master hairdresser. From 1934 to 1938 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

Live and act

Zimmermann attended the elementary and community school in Zwickau. He completed an apprenticeship as a hairdresser and subsequently passed the examination to become a master hairdresser. Between 1906 and 1958 he ran a hairdressing business in Feldkirch .

In 1911 he was a co-founder of the Reich Association of Hairdressers Austria. During the First World War he served with the Standschützen .

Zimmermann was involved in professional and professional representation and was a member of the state trade association. From 1935 to 1937, he held the function of second deputy chairman of the Vorarlberger Landesgewerbeverband. Furthermore, he was a member of the state professional association of hairdressers, where he also held numerous functions. From 1906 to 1908 he was the secretary of the State Professional Association of Hairdressers, held the position of chairman between 1908 and 1914 and from 1919 to 1935 and was then guild master from 1935 to 1937. After the Second World War, Zimmermann took on the role of guild master from 1945 to 1955. Zimmermann was also a member of the federal committee of hairdressers and beauticians. In 1934 he was appointed as a representative of the trade by the Vorarlberg governor to the state parliament and was subsequently a member of the state parliament during the period of the corporate state and Austro-Fascism from November 14, 1934 until the annexation of Austria on March 12, 1938. During the 1934/35 session he was a member of the Economic Committee.

Private

Heinz Zimmermann was born as the son of Ignaz Zimmermann and his wife Julie Günter. On September 16, 1907 in Sankt Anton am Arlberg, he married Maria Cäcilia Katharina Müller, who was born in Feldkirch and lived between 1887 and 1964. Zimmermann and his wife had four children. His two sons and daughters were born between 1908 and 1929.
