Heito Ike (from Japanese 平 頭 池 , Flachgipfelsee ” ) is a lake on the Prince Harald Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land , dammed by a natural ice dam . It is located in the upper section of the Yatude Zawa valley in the southern part of the Langhovde .
Japanese scientists named it in 2012 based on the name of the neighboring Heitō Glacier .
