The Hagen-Kabel combined heat and power plant is a natural gas / oil -fired combined heat and power plant in Hagen - Kabel with a total output of 235 MW. It was put into operation in 1981. It has two gas turbines with an output of 96 MW and 80 MW, as well as a downstream steam turbine with an output of 75 MW. The steam turbine and the 80 MW gas turbine were supplied by BBC , the 96 MW gas turbine, which was renewed in 2004, by Alstom . The operator of the power plant is the energy supply company Mark-E . In addition to electricity, the power station supplies process steam for the Kabel Premium Pulp & Paper GmbH paper mill and district heating for heating an adjoining printing and publishing center.
