To Byron Rojas Budler lost his world championship belt according to the version of the WBA on March 19 of the following year on points.

Again in light flyweight

The left wingman switched back to light flyweight, where he received the WBA Pan-African title in October of the same year by winning on points over Siyabonga Siyo . In the same year he beat Joey Canoy prematurely in round 8 and thereby won the IBO World Championship again.

In 2017 Budler fought against Milan Melindo for the IBF world championship belt and was defeated by a split judge's decision.

The following year he got the chance to become world champion again against the Japanese Ryōichi Taguchi ; this time it was about three titles: WBA ( super ), IBF and The Ring . Budler was able to win this battle extremely tightly, but deservedly (all three judges scored 114: 113 for Budler).
