Helen Victoria Baxendale (born June 7, 1970 in Wakefield , West Riding of Yorkshire , England ) is a British actress .

Life

Helen Victoria Baxendale was born in Wakefield and grew up in Shenstone, Staffordshire. She originally wanted to be a ballet dancer and attended the Elmhurst School for Dance . However, she dropped out in favor of acting training at the Bristol Old Vic Theater School at the age of 17. She made her first acting steps from 1992 to 1994 at the Citizens Theater in Glasgow . From there she was recognized for her role as Dr. Claire Maitland cast in the TV series Cardiac Arrest .

Her larger series appearances also included Cold Feet , Friends and Kidnap and Ransom . In addition, she was in the feature films A Very Ordinary Thief - Ordinary Decent Criminal , It 's Better Together, and most recently in Roland Emmerich's Anonymus .

Since her time at the Glasgow Theater, she has been in a relationship with British filmmaker David L. Williams , with whom she has three children. Her character's first pregnancy was attributed to her character during her appearance on the television series An Unsuitable Job for a Woman and her second pregnancy to the role during her time on Cold Feet . Because of her first pregnancy, she was also written two episodes earlier from the series Friends than originally thought. Your appearance ended after 14 instead of 16 episodes. Her daughter Nell Williams also took on her first acting roles.
