Helen Cresswell

Helen Cresswell (* 11. July 1934 in Nottingham , † 26. September 2005 in Eakring / Nottinghamshire ) was a British bestseller - author .

Life

Helen Cresswell attended Nottingham Girls High School and later King's College London , where she studied English literature and graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1955 . Cresswell has been writing books since she was six and had published over 120 books during her lifetime. Including "Lizzie Dripping", "The Bagthorpe Saga", "Moondial" (filmed by the BBC, German title " Minty and the Moon Clock"), "The Piemakers" and "The Bongleweed and Stonestruck".
