Helen Frith

Helen Frith ( Helen Audrey Ray Frith, married Searle; born July 12, 1939 in Roseville , New South Wales ) is a former Australian high jumper , long jumper and pentathlete .

In 1958 she won bronze in the high jump at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff .

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 she was sixth in the high jump and came 17th in the long jump. In 1962 she won silver in both the high jump and long jump at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth .

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, she was eleventh in the pentathlon and eliminated in the long jump in qualification. In 1966 she was fifth in the long jump at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston .

She was five times Australian champion in pentathlon (1959, 1962, 1964-1966), twice in long jump (1964, 1966) and once in high jump (1960).
