Career and work

Helena Elisabeth was before 1654 in Nottuln präbendiert . She was sworn up on September 10, 1659 . In December 1690, her predecessor, the abbess Elisabeth Wilhelmina von Büren , reprimanded her for violating her supervisory duties and tolerating nocturnal male visits. Therefore she should pay a fine of 20 Reichstaler, be suspended for half a year and have no right to vote in the chapter. When the abbess passed away, a new election was scheduled for December 21st. Helena Elisabeth received a clear majority of the votes. The Prince-Bishop confirmed this election on February 3, 1700, and on May 11, 1700, Helena was introduced to her office during festivities lasting several days. On this occasion, the monastery received a donation of 300 Reichstalers. On June 3, 1700 she renounced her prebend in favor of Anna Elisabeth Dorothea von Vincke.
