Helene Gerl
Helene Gerl ( February 15, 1847 in Coburg - 1905 ) was an Austrian opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Gerl followed the traditions of her family, and also took advantage of her beautiful voice, entered the stage path. She was trained first by her father Johannes Gerl and later by Pauline Viardot-García . She made her debut on September 13, 1867 as "Gilda" in Rigoletto at the Hoftheater in Coburg , where she was highly successful until 1881 and was named "ducal Saxon chamber singer " in recognition of her services .
In 1881 the artist joined the association of the Braunschweiger Hofbühne , where she celebrated her twenty-five year service anniversary on September 14, 1892, paying special tribute to her artistic achievements, and remained there until 1895, when she left the stage entirely. Gerl kept her place of residence in Braunschweig.
Her paternal grandparents were Judas Thaddäus and Franziska Gerl .
