Helene Littmann

Helene Littmann , pseudonyms E. Schütz and O. Lamare (* 1866 in Paris ; † June 1945 in Baden ) was an Austrian painter , writer and newspaper founder.

Live and act

Helene Littmann grew up in Halle and moved with her parents to Vienna in 1888 , where she took painting lessons from the painter and North Pole driver Julius von Payer . Since 1892 she published the magazine "Frauenleben". In 1896 she founded the “Austrian Aid Association for Civil Servants”, of which she also became president.

In her articles, which have appeared in various magazines, she deals with the emancipation that was then known as the “women's question” .
