Heleopera petricola is a shell amoeba from the genus Heleopera . It is also known in German as a sack-shell amoeba. The species occurs in peat moss and other mosses .
features
Heleopera petricola is around 100 micrometers long. The species is colorless and broadly sack-shaped. The mouth opening is a wide gap that occupies the entire front. The shell has a field that is indistinct and irregular. At the rear end there are a couple of larger stones.
