Helga Karin Hiersemenzel

Helga Karin Hiersemenzel (born August 6, 1943 in Lindau ) is a German politician of the FDP .

Hiersemenzel attended the Catholic elementary school in Lindau-Aeschach and the girls' secondary school in Lindau , where she graduated from high school. She studied German , English and philosophy at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and in London . She passed the 1st state examination for teaching at secondary schools and the 2nd state examination at the Albrecht-Altdorfer-Gymnasium in Regensburg . From 1971, interrupted by a five-year family phase, she worked in the school service and was a senior teacher.

In 1973 Hiersemenzel became a member of the FDP. There she was deputy chairwoman of the Munich city association, spokesperson for education policy, deputy chairwoman of the state committee for youth, education and science and a member of the federal committee for education, science and culture. From 1990 to 1994 she was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .
