Helga Maria Wolf

Helga Maria Wolf (born July 29, 1951 in Vienna ) is an Austrian ethnologist and author.

Life

While working in her father Alfred Wolf's business , a book printing company in Vienna's 9th district, she completed professional training and the commercial academy (1965–1975). After graduating from high school , she studied European ethnology and art history at the University of Vienna and passed the rigorous exams with Helmut Paul Fielhauer and Michael Mitterauer in 1980 .

Then she hit the journalistic career; 1980–1984 member of the editorial board of Die Presse , 1984–1987 freelance, 1987–2004 ORF . Here she was the head of the Metropolitan Life department and the Religion department in Studio Vienna, then at Studio Lower Austria. In addition, she acquired further qualifications; in 1986 the certificate “adult educator”, 1987 the correspondence course for theology, 1996 the license life and social counselor and 1997 the diploma business coach.

As a division manager at ORF, Helga Maria Wolf created and designed numerous programs and series on radio and television on cultural, religious and psychological topics. Since 2009 she has been co-editor of the Austrian Internet encyclopedia Austria-Forum . She is also active with lectures and presentations at symposia.
