Helga Strätling-Tölle

Helga Strätling-Tölle (born March 2, 1927 in Paderborn as Helga Tölle ; † 2017 ) was a German psychotherapist and writer.

life and work

Helga Tölle grew up in her place of birth, Paderborn. Her family came from Irish Jews and was involved in the resistance against National Socialism . After graduating from high school, Helga Tölle studied psychology, philosophy and journalism in Aachen, Münster and Freiburg. In 1953 she married the German publicist and author Barthold Strätling. They had seven children together.

From 1960 she lived in Rottendorf in the Lower Franconian district of Würzburg until her death .

In addition to her work as a psychologist, Helga Strätling-Tölle worked as a journalist and in adult education. She has written novels for young people and adults as well as specialist literature on family, child and youth psychology.

From 1971 to 1975 she was also a member of the Synod of Dioceses in the Federal Republic.

Strätling-Tölle has been involved in the hospice movement since 1990 and was also an honorary member of the Würzburg and Ljubljana hospice associations .
