Helgi Guðjónsson (born August 4, 1999 ) is an Icelandic football player .
Athletic career
Helgi comes from the youth of Fram Reykjavík . At an early stage he moved into the focus of the Knattspyrnusamband Íslands and took part with the Icelandic junior national team in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing , China . In the soccer competition he reached the semi-finals with the team, in which the European representative on penalties - Helgi was the only Icelander to convert his penalty - was eliminated by South Korea. In the 4-0 victory over the Cape Verdean national team, he scored his fifth goal in the tournament, on the one hand he won the bronze medal and on the other hand he was named tournament scorer together with the South Korean Kim Gyuhyeong . He then ran for the Icelandic U-15 and U-16 national team .
In 2016, Helgi made her adult debut for Fram Reykjavík. He quickly established himself in the team and played his 50th league game for the club in the summer of 2018.
