Helichrysum heldreichii is a plant from the genus of immortelle ( Helichrysum ) in the family of Compositae (Asteraceae).
features
Helichrysum heldreichii is a perennial subshrub that reaches heights of 10 to 60 centimeters. The leaves are linear and 30 to 45 millimeters in size. The heads have a diameter of 3 to 4 millimeters and are bell-shaped. The base of the bracts is woolly hairy. The outer bracts are pointed and oblong-triangular, the inner ones pointed and linear.
The flowering time is in May.
Occurrence
Helichrysum heldreichii is endemic to Crete in the prefecture of Chania . The species grows in Sfakia on rock faces in gorges at altitudes from 0 to 900 meters.
