Helicon of Kyzikos
Helikon by Kyzikos was a Greek mathematician and astronomer of the v fourth century. Chr.
He belonged to the disciples of Eudoxus and Isocrates and also to the circle of Plato . He said the solar eclipse of May 12th, 361 BC. BC correctly, for which he is said to have been rewarded by Dion of Syracuse with a talent of silver. With Eudoxos he worked on the problem of doubling the dice .
The Helicon crater is named after him.
