Text and style of music

The song is introduced by engine noise. In a very calm tone, accompanied by a slide guitar , Ben Becker recites the individual lines of text. This includes the English verse

"My heart was made in heaven /
my brains were cooked in hell /
while i'm here /
while i'm inbetween /
i'd love to be a /
hells angel"

"My heart was made in heaven /
my brain was sizzling in hell /
while I'm here /
while I'm in between /
I would like to be a
Hells Angel"

- Ben Becker : Hell's Angels®

In the rest of the text, the first-person narrator asks for a Hells Angel's chain, jacket and habit and explains in pathetic words that he would like to be like him. The lines of text "wild and dangerous / and know what love is / I would like to be a Hells Angel / I would like to be like you" are repeated several times.

reception

Because of his participation in a 70-minute film titled 81 - The Other World , which promotes the Hells Angel, Ben Becker has been criticized by the media because of the song. It was even speculated that Becker was a member of the rocker club. Becker described these speculations as nonsense in an official statement. However, he admits to be fascinated by the club, which he wanted to express with the song. His fascination is comparable to that of small children who think pirates are great.
