Hellmut Kruse
Hellmut Kruse (born May 19, 1926 in Hamburg ; † January 25, 2018 there ) was a German entrepreneur.
Life
Kruse studied literary history and philosophy at the universities of Hamburg and Friborg / Switzerland , where he in 1948 with a thesis on Wolf Graf von Kalckreuth Dr. phil. received his doctorate . From 1979 to 1989 he was CEO of Beiersdorf AG in Hamburg. From 1992 to 1999 he was president of the Übersee-Club there .
In addition to his work in business, Kruse published several anthologies with Christmas poems. In February 2006 he published the autobiography Wagen und Winnen - A Hanseatic Merchant's Life in the 20th Century .
The businessman and Senator from Hamburg, Hans EB Kruse (1891–1968), was his father.
