Hellmuth Bieske

Hellmuth Bieske (born May 6, 1894 in Königsberg i. Pr. , † November 4, 1972 in Hamburg ) was a German industrialist .

Life

After completing a commercial apprenticeship, Bieske became a co-owner of his father Emil Bieske's well construction company in 1919 . The company had about 500 employees. In Königsberg, Bieske was chairman of the commercial association and the Börsenhalle , a Königsberg company. He was consul for Tsarist Bulgaria . In the Second World War he took part as a major in the reserve. On May 17, 1949, Bieske was one of the founders of the East Prussian Landsmannschaft . From 1949 to 1962 he was chairman of the city ​​community of Königsberg . He initiated the Duisburg – Königsberg sponsorship, concluded in 1951, and received the Königsberg Citizens' Medal .
