In addition, he was Baden-Württemberg's state chairman of the Federation of Expellees and was also a member of the Federal Presidium of the BdV.

politics

Haun was initially involved in the GB / BHE and was elected to the state parliament of Württemberg-Baden in 1950 via the community list of the expellees party with the German community , to which he belonged until the formation of the new federal state of Baden-Württemberg in 1952. The merger of the GB / BHE with the German party led to the merger of the All-German Party , for which he ran unsuccessfully in the 1961 federal election in the constituency of Tauberbischofsheim and on the Baden-Württemberg state list. After the failure of the GDP became obvious, he joined the CDU.
