The Sanner GmbH is a German company for the production of plastic primary packaging and components for pharmaceutical applications, primarily for the pharmaceutical, medical technology and healthcare and is one of the world leaders for desiccant packaging.
history
The company was founded in 1894 by Friedrich Sanner as the Friedrich Sanner cork tailoring and trading company.
In the 1960s, Sanner brought the first desiccant closure onto the market. This closure made it possible to use desiccants to protect products to be packaged from moisture in the long term, thereby ensuring consistent quality. Sanner developed this system further (patent specification DE 1216518). Sanner now holds over 100 patents worldwide.
The company employs around 550 people in Bensheim (Germany), Kunshan (China), Shanghai (China), Budapest (Hungary), Wilder / Kentucky (USA), Pune (India), Jakarta (Indonesia) and Kirchheim (France) Employee.
The company produces over four billion plastic parts every year. In the fourth generation of the family-run company, sales of around EUR 85 million are generated.
In 2011, was Friedrich Sanner GmbH & Co. KG to Sanner GmbH renamed. As part of the legal succession, Sanner GmbH entered into all existing contracts of the GmbH & Co. KG.
Products
Sanner's main product groups are pharmaceutical packaging with desiccants, test strip packaging, effervescent tablet packaging, and packaging and components for medical technology (engineered product solutions). Another strength of the company lies in the area of Engineered Packaging Solutions with the development and manufacture of customer-specific pharmaceutical packaging for medical products.
