Helmut Hirner

Helmut Hirner (born July 26, 1978 ) is a former beach volleyball player and entrepreneur in Austria and chairman of the Austrian Tourism Association .

Helmut Hirner graduated from the AHS in Bruck an der Mur in 1996 . He began studying JUS at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz in 1996 - JUS studies not continued. In 2001 he graduated from the entrepreneurship academy at WIFI Styria. At the Vienna University of Economics and Business , he graduated as an academic tourism manager in 2004 and the academic degree MBA was awarded to him in 2006 at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz .

He played in the Austrian Volleyball Bundesliga in Bruck / Mur and Aich Dob as well as in the national team . Hirner achieved his greatest success in 1997 together with Clemens Doppler . They won the Vice-U20 European Championship title in beach volleyball in Zagreb and thus won Austria's first medal in this sport.

Hirner later founded a company for sports, languages ​​and events. Hirner has been the managing director of a tour operator in Frohnleiten since 2005 . He is chairman of the Austrian Association for Tourism .
