Helmut Hopp (Manager)

Helmut Hopp (born February 25, 1924 in Vienna ; † July 1, 2011 ) was a German manager .

Life

For almost four decades, including more than 20 years as managing director, Hopp worked for the clothing manufacturer S-Modelle Damenzüge GmbH in Augsburg. He retired on December 31, 1985.

In addition to his professional activity, he held a leading position in interest groups in the textile industry. For 25 years he was treasurer of the Federal Association of the Clothing Industry (BBI). From 1977 to 1992 he was foreign trade spokesman and vice-president of the European clothing association. In 1990 he achieved duty-free in outward processing with Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic. In addition, Hopp was General Secretary of the World Clothing Association for two years. In addition, from 1996 to 1999 he was Chairman of the Board of the Bavarian Clothing Industry Foundation.
