Helmut Jonscher (born August 16, 1943 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The defender Helmut Jonscher began his career at SpVgg Erkenschwick and moved to SVA Gütersloh in the summer of 1968 , with whom he was promoted to the Regionalliga West in 1971 . Three years later, Jonscher missed his team's qualification for the newly created 2nd Bundesliga . In the three regional league years of the SVA, Jonscher completed 101 of 102 games and scored 18 goals. Jonscher is the regional league record player of SVA Gütersloh. In 1975 he was with SVA Gütersloh champion of the Association League Westphalia 1 , but lost the final against Westfalia Herne . Two years later Jonscher secured the relay championship again with the Arminia and was again Westphalian runner-up after losing the finals against Rot-Weiß Lüdenscheid . In the following round of promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga, however, the Gütersloher failed to Bremerhaven 93 and 1. FC Bocholt .

After his playing career, Jonscher coached various amateur clubs. With the Spvg Versmold he failed in 1995 after a decider defeat against Davaria Davensberg on promotion to the Association League Westphalia. Until 2001 he coached TSG Harsewinkel . He currently trains FC Isselhorst from Gütersloh .
