Helmut kiss

Helmut Kuß (born March 26, 1906 in Göttingen ; † December 9, 2006 ibid) was a German administrative lawyer. Most recently he was senior city director of Göttingen.

Life

From 1925 Kuß studied law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and was active in the Corps Hildeso-Guestphalia . In 1945, as a non-party with a liberal basic attitude, he became the syndic of the city of Göttingen and in 1948 city director of the university city with the powers of a senior city director, after which he was treasurer until he was re-elected senior city director. From 1952 to 1959, Kuss was elected senior city director of Göttingen for the second time . In the dispute over the staging of a play by Bertolt Brecht , he defended the rights of the artistic director Heinz Hilpert . He later joined the CDU . For them he sat on the city council from 1966 to 1968. His estate is in the Göttingen City Archives.
