Walter Wottitz

Walter Wottitz (born June 22, 1912 in Saloniki , Greece , † November 1, 1986 in Bry-sur-Marne , Île-de-France , France) was a French cameraman.

Life

After training in photography as a camera assistant and member of the recording crew, Walter Wottitz found a job in film. From the mid-1950s he was regularly employed as chief cameraman. Wottitz received the Oscar for best camera for his photography in the large-scale production "The Longest Day" .
