Helmut Latz

Helmut Latz (born March 12, 1955 in Cologne ) is a German rower and 1976 Olympian in the eighth .

The 1.65 m tall Helmut Latz drove the Germany eighth at the 1975 World Championships in seventh place. At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal / Canada, the eighth controlled by Latz came in fourth.

Helmut Latz was three times German champion from 1972 to 1974 with the lightweight eighth of the rowing and tennis club Germania eV Cologne . In 1976 he was German champion with the Germany eighth, a rowing community with members of five different clubs, with Latz being the only representative of RTK Germania Cologne. Together with Frithjof Henckel and Volker Sauer , he took third place in a two-man with helmsman in 1976 .
