Monika Aubele

Monika Aubele (born June 3, 1950 in Bavaria ) is a German film producer .

Life

After completing a degree in business administration, Monika Aubele became a producer at Eikon -Film, the production company of the Evangelical Church in Germany. There she helped develop the TV series Neues aus Uhlenbusch and Anderland . At the beginning of the 1980s, reports for “Contacts” on ZDF followed , a biographical series that runs below 37 degrees today . She later went into business for herself and produced films for children and young people as well as full-length feature films, whose creatives have received numerous awards. The full-length children's film Jacob Behind the Blue Door, based on a story by Peter Härtling and directed by Haro Senft, received 1st prize at the Nuremberg Film Show of the Federal Agency for Civic Education in 1987 and 1st prize from the children's film jury at the 4th Hildesheim International Children's Film Festival. Also in 1987, the picture story about the Holocaust Rosa Weiss, based on a story by Roberto Innocenti and directed by Karl-Heinz Käfer, was awarded at the 22nd International Youth Film Festival. The director Maria Theresia Wagner received the German Film Award in 1989 for her first feature film Die Nacht des Marders , the film tape in gold for the best young director. Her film also ran in competition at the World Film Festival in Montréal. The children's and family film for cinema and television, Lippels Traum, based on the book by Paul Maar , directed by Karl-Heinz Käfer, won the 1991 special prize at the China International Children's Film Festival - Beijing.

In 1990, Monika Aubele and Paul Thiltges founded Monipoly Productions S.à.rl in Luxembourg, which specializes in animation films. Monipoly co-produced the cartoons Kiriku and the Sorceress , directed by Michel Ocelot, and The Blue Arrow by Enzo D'Alò . Both of these films have won numerous international awards.

Memberships

Monika Aubele is a member of the German Film Academy . In Producers Association eV it is after four years of Board activities since 2017 board member. She is a member of the board of directors of the German Film Artists' Emergency Aid Foundation and ProQuote Film .

Social commitment in favor of seriously ill children with multiple disabilities is shown by Monika Aubele as co-managing director of the largest German outpatient childcare facility,  Mobile Ambulante Pflegeepartner GmbH & Co.KG - Münchner Kindl , a company that has twice, in 2007 and 2008, received the Bavarian Best 50 award from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs received.
