Helmut Lerch

Helmut Lerch (born November 16, 1947 ) is a German architect and artist .

Lerch completed his architecture studies with a doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) And has been working as a freelance architect in Heidelberg and the surrounding area since 1983 . From 1994 he also held a chair in the architecture department of the Heidelberg University of Applied Sciences , which he headed from 2002 to 2004 as dean . His art focuses in particular on travel sketches or small watercolors , which represent the rural northern Italian area in a thematic focus. Lerch lives with his wife Annemarie, who works as a teacher for care professions and in the child protection association, in Heidelberg's old town. His son David Christoph Lerch works as a journalist .
