Helmut Retzl

Helmut Retzl (born January 26, 1956 in Steyr ) is an Austrian pedagogue , sociologist , historian , non-fiction author, management consultant and professor at the Upper Austria University of Education in Linz .

Life

Helmut Retzl graduated from the Gymnasium Steyr, then completed his teacher training course in Linz and worked as a secondary school teacher in Linz. He also studied sociology (doctorate in 1985) and then history and political science (doctorate in 1988).

Since 1985 Retzl has been a professor at PÄDAK, later at the University of Education in Linz. Since 1987 he has headed the research institute he founded for community development in Linz-Urfahr. He is the author of several specialist books.
