Helmut Wahlen

Helmut Wahlen (born January 17, 1964 ) is a former German soccer player .

As a pupil he attended the Erich Kästner Realschule Hermeskeil . The 1.84 m tall goalkeeper played three games for FSV Salmrohr in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1986/87 season . Wahlen had made it out of the league with Salmrohr in the preseason and was initially a substitute goalkeeper behind his brother Alfred . After ten game days, elections for three games became number one before coach Robert Jung used the newly signed former national goalkeeper Wolfgang Kleff .

Later Helmut Wahlen played in the Oberliga Südwest for SV Prüm . There he caused a stir again in 1996 when he scored a tee-off in the game at RWO Alzey . In 1997/98 he played again for FSV Salmrohr , which has since played in the Regionalliga West / Südwest . During that season he was in goal for the Salmtaler 18 times. In 1998 he left the club and went to league rivals FC Homburg , for whom he completed a regional league game.
