Helmut Weber (born July 13, 1942 in Würzburg ) is a German doctor .

Life

Weber completed a commercial apprenticeship in Karlsruhe and studied human medicine at the University of Düsseldorf from 1966 to 1972 . He received his doctorate there as a Dr. med. After working for the state medical doctor for the supervisory district of North Rhine between 1973 and 1983, he moved to the Ministry for Labor, Integration and Social Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia , where he was first head of department , and from 1984 he was ministerial advisor. In 2000 he was transferred to the Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Agriculture, Nature and Consumer Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia , before he retired in 2001.

Helmut Weber is married and has one son. He lives in Haan .

Voluntary work

Weber has been state chairman of the non-smoker protection association of North Rhine-Westphalia since 1986 . V. , with which he has been working since 1981.

Since 2006 he has been the spokesman for the citizens' initiative Stop rising prices! Lower costs! . In this context, he developed an energy price concept that was accepted by the Association of Energy Consumers .

In 2008/09 he was the coordinator for the creation of a citizens' mission statement for the city of Haan and spokesman for various working groups in the mission statement process at the time.

Awards

  • 1991: Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his services in the field of non-smoker protection and public health care.
