Helmut Winkelmann

Helmut Winkelmann (born March 7, 1941 in Neuss ; † August 19, 2018 ) was a German actor and voice actor .

Live and act

After graduating from high school, Winkelmann studied German and theater studies in Cologne and then went to the drama school in Vienna.

In 1977 he had his first role in the television film Westfälische Schelme . He had theater engagements in Bern, Zurich, Frankfurt and Nuremberg as well as the Deutsche Oper in Düsseldorf and spent 10 years at the State Theater in Darmstadt. He also worked for various television companies in Switzerland, Austria and Germany. In 1979 Winkelmann took part in the television series Die people vom Domplatz as minstrel Wenzel.

He also made various live moderations, public readings in poetry and from 1991 worked as a freelance speaker. The focus was on television documentaries, synchronizations, radio reports, radio plays and books, as well as various live presentations (ATP World Championships and trade fair events), public readings in the field of poetry and science, and language in connection with music, such as jazz and poetry events.

In the radio play series Geisterjäger John Sinclair produced by Tonstudio Braun in the 1980s / 90s , he spoke for a long time as the title character, as well as various opponents several times in previous episodes. He was also heard in the award-winning ZDF documentary Löwendämmerung .
