Helmuth Bosse

Helmuth Bosse (born January 9, 1929 in Schöppenstedt , † August 14, 1995 in Braunschweig ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Bosse completed a commercial apprenticeship in the grain trade, which he completed in 1946; afterwards he worked as an agricultural merchant , from 1958 as an automobile merchant. Bosse became a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) in 1947. He became chairman of the SPD sub-district of Braunschweig and from 1953 to 1972 chairman of the SPD local association Schöppenstedt. From 1968 to 1970 he was deputy chairman of the SPD sub-district Wolfenbüttel and then chairman of this sub-district. He also became a member of the supervisory board of Wolfenbütteler Gemeinnützige Baugesellschaft and the administrative board of the public property insurance in Braunschweig.

From 1956 to 1974 he was councilor and chairman of the SPD council group of the city of Schöppenstedt, then councilor and chairman of the SPD council group of the former joint municipality of Schöppenstedt and since 1964 a member of the district council. From 1967 to 1968 he was chairman of the SPD district parliamentary group and deputy district administrator. From 1968 to 1981 he was district administrator of the Wolfenbüttel district and since 1981 again chairman of the SPD district parliamentary group of Wolfenbüttel district. From 1973 to 1978 he was also a member and chairman of the association assembly of the Greater Braunschweig Association.

Bosse was a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament for the 6th to 11th electoral period (June 6, 1967 to June 20, 1990), he was secretary of the Lower Saxony State Parliament from July 8, 1970 to June 20, 1978, and he was Vice President of the Lower Saxony State Parliament from June 28, 1978 to June 20, 1990.

Helmuth Bosse was married and had two children. His son Marcus Bosse is also an SPD politician and has been a member of the state parliament since 2008.
