The Helukabel GmbH produces and sells pipes , cables , cable accessories , as well as network and bus technology at five locations in Germany. The company has 1,600 employees worldwide and a turnover of 592 million euros in 2018.
Since 1988 branches have been opened in 29 countries worldwide.
Helukabel is ISO 9001 , ISO 14001 and DIN ISO 50001 certified.
Helukabel has a stake in Kabelwerk Meißen Wilhelm Balzer and Kabelmat Wickeltechnik in Glatten and Robotec Systems GmbH in Kamp-Lintfort.
history
The company was founded in 1978 in Hemmingen near Stuttgart as a sales company for cables, wires and accessories. In 1988 the cable factory in Windsbach near Nuremberg was opened and the in-house production of cables began. In 1997, 2008 and 2016 the production capacity in Windsbach was expanded. This plant has a production area of 40,000 m² and an annual production of approx. 1 million core kilometers. Another production facility is located in Taicang , China . In 2001 the logistics center in Hemmingen went into operation. In 2013 the logistics center was expanded to over 40,500 euro pallet spaces and 35,400 spaces in the small parts warehouse. More than 30,000 different products are available from stock.
