The Hemşin Deresi is a tributary of the Black Sea in northeastern Turkey .

The Hemşin Deresi has its source in the Eastern Pontic Mountains . The river flows in a northerly direction through the hill country of the Hemşin and Pazar counties of the Rize province . The Hemşin Deresi passes the Hemşin District Administrative Center and the village of Kocaköprü . It finally flows into the Black Sea near the coastal city of Pazar. The Hemşin Deresi has a length of 38.5 km.
