Shirt dress
The Hemdblusenkleid is from a blouse , so a blouse in Mr cut with collar and cuffs or cuffs , and attached thereto skirt composite dress or a dress in the tunic section with by a seam and / a belt or remote waist .
It first appeared in the form of a smock dress at Coco Chanel in 1916. Loosely referred to as a sackcloth , it was particularly popular in the second half of the 1950s. It was launched in Balenciaga's I line , established itself in Dior's tunics as early as 1956 and was varied many times in the following years by Balenciaga, Givenchy and Mary Quant .
In contemporary film, the sackcloth appears prominently in Audrey Hepburn's 1957 film A Sweet Face , where, as an intellectual bookseller, she wears the epitome of the rather unfavorable sackcloth reminiscent of work clothes, but after her transformation its much more chic variant.
