Marc Kilchenmann

Marc Kilchenmann (born June 18, 1970 in Bern ) is a Swiss composer , bassoonist and publisher .

biography

Marc Kilchenmann works as a composer, bassoonist and publisher. He studied bassoon with Ingo Becker and Eckart Hübner , and composition with Urs Peter Schneider . As a bassoonist he is a member of the basel sinfonietta , the La strimpellata ensemble and the Neue Horizonte Bern ensemble .

Marc Kilchenmann's list of works includes around thirty compositions to date. These include piano pieces, chamber music with or without live electronics, orchestral music and conceptual music. His most recent larger works are the Seghers tetralogy for transverse flute and string quartet and egregoros for steamboat-switzerland .

He is co-founder of aart-verlag , Bern, and oversees the complete editions of Hermann Meier , Urs Peter Schneider and Peter Streiff .

Kilchenmann is a lecturer in improvisational composition and specialist didactics at the Bern University of the Arts .
