Henk Ooms

Hendrik "Henk" Ooms (born March 18, 1916 in Halfweg ; † December 6, 1993 in The Hague ) was a Dutch track cyclist .

1936 Henk Ooms started at the Olympic Games in Berlin in tandem race and won together with Bernard Leene the silver medal. The following year he was third in the amateur sprint at the World Railroad Championships in Ordrup . In 1938 and 1939 he also won the national title in the amateur sprint, and in 1944 he came second in the professional class .

Henk Ooms' father, Willem Ooms , started the 50 kilometer track race at the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp , but gave up.
