Henk Uterwijk
Hendrik "Henk" Uterwijk (born August 24, 1938 in Muiden ; † October 14, 2014 in Oudehorne ) was a Dutch actor in film, television and theater. In addition, he was also active as a theater director.
life and career
Henk Uterwijk, born in Muiden in 1938, first worked in the hotel trade in the 1950s. In 1961, after passing the entrance exam, he enrolled for the Academy of Dramatic Arts at the Theater School in Amsterdam. After graduating there in 1964, he made his debut at the Nieuw Rotterdams Toneel (1964–1967). Then he joined the theater group Studio (1967-1969), which was then directed by Kees van Iersel, and played for the next ten years at the Zuidelijk Toneel Globe (1969-1979). Finally he played for several years in the theater scene and in the youth group Amstel Theater (1982–1985). He took on a number of engagements in independent theaters and was also director of amateur theater plays in various student clubs.
From 1966 onwards, Henk Uterwijk was occasionally seen in film and television roles. For example, he played in the television series Sil de strandjutter and De zesde klas , and in 1981 he had a small appearance alongside Götz George and Eberhard Feik at Horst Schimanski Tatort - Duisburg-Ruhrort . In 1984 he was seen in the Dutch-German film adaptation A Hole in the Border . In addition to his work as an actor, Uterwijk also worked as a voice actor.
He died on October 14, 2014 at the age of 76 in Oudehorne, the Netherlands.
