Esther Ukpong Sunday (born March 13, 1992 in Ikot Udo Abia , Akwa Ibom ) is a Nigerian national soccer player.

Career

society

Sunday started her career with the Sunshine Queens and joined Pelican Stars FC in December 2012 . Sunday has been under contract with the Belarusian first division club FK Minsk since August 7, 2014 . On August 9, 2014, she made her UEFA Women's Champions League debut for FK Minsk against FC Zurich Women .

National team

Sunday competed in the Women's U-20 World Cup in 2010 and 2012 . At the 2010 tournament she reached the final with the Nigerian team, but lost 2-0 to the German U-20s. At the 2012 tournament in Japan, she was able to secure fourth place with the Falconets.

In September 2014, Sunday and his teammate Onome Ebi were called up for the 2014 women's African Cup and qualified for the 2014 women's soccer World Cup in Canada with the final against Cameroon .

She is also part of the Nigerian women's squad for the 2015 World Cup in Canada.
