biography

From 1992 to 1996 Sedlmeir was the singer and lyricist of the Saarbrücken noise rock band "Blind". After the release of the first official album "Pseudoamericanroutine", appearances at the Rockpalast , a tour with the Melvins and guest performances in Germany, France, the Czech Republic and England follow . In 1995 the band went back to the studio to record their second album "Life Guard" with Alexander Hacke ( Einstürzende Neubauten ) as producer.

In 1996 Sedlmeir founded the minimal trash rock duo "Stereohools". Part of the concept is to publish all songs exclusively on music cassettes and to sell them via motorway service stations. Nevertheless, in 1999 the Stereohools published their EP "Back from Japan" on vinyl.

Sedlmeir has been working mainly solo since 2002. With guitar and rhythm machine he performs in Germany, England, Austria and Switzerland. His debut album "Hard Rock Robots • Germany" was released in 2004. In the same year he moved from Cologne to Berlin. He produced the 2006 album “feelings” with Tilo Schierz-Crusius ( surrogate ) and Moses Schneider . From 2006 to 2008 he traveled together with Oliver Maria Schmitt ( Titanic ) Germany to the provinces with a joint program.

Since 2011 Sedlmeir has been working with the artist Carsten Lisecki on the genre-breaking format “The great Lisecki & Sedlmeir Show”. In terms of content, this show deals with "supposedly uninteresting things" using music, short texts and documentaries.

In the meantime Sedlmeir has worked as a presenter, emcee and actor.

In 2014 he began to add a visual element to his program: projections in black and white on the stage form a second level and abstract or substantiate the song content. This creates a kind of cinema behind the performance, with which Sedlmeir occasionally interacts. In 2018 he wrote the crime musical “Rache!” Together with Ahne, for which he also composed the music.
