Henning Strassburger

Henning Strassburger (* 1983 in Meißen ) is a German artist ( painting , video , object, installation ). In his work he examines the role of painting as a filter for the aesthetics of a mass culture .

Life

From 2005 to 2006 he studied at the Berlin University of the Arts with Daniel Richter , and from 2006 to 2009 at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Albert Oehlen . In 2014 he was visiting professor at the University of Nevada UNLV , from 2015 to 2016 visiting professor at the Art Academy Karlsruhe .

Henning Strassburger lives in Berlin. He is represented by the Sies & Höke gallery in Düsseldorf and Blain-Southern in Berlin and London.
