Henning Wassermann

Henning Wassermann (born August 2, 1949 in Hanover ; † September 8, 2013 ) was a German lawyer and a judge at the Federal Court of Justice from 2000 to 2007 .

He began his judicial career in 1978 in Lower Saxony . He was initially employed at the Hanover Regional Court , the Neustadt am Rübenberge District Court and the Burgwedel District Court as well as the Hanover Public Prosecutor's Office. From 1983 to 1986 Wassermann was seconded to the Federal Constitutional Court as a research assistant and in 1987 was appointed judge at the Higher Regional Court of Celle . For six years until 1998 he was seconded to the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice and European Affairs , after which he was appointed presiding judge at the Higher Regional Court in Celle. Wassermann had been a judge at the Federal Court of Justice since August 1, 2000. He was there the XI. Assigned to the civil senate, which mainly deals with banking law. On October 31, 2007, Wassermann retired at his own request for health reasons.

Wassermann worked on the guarantee law in the banking law manual.
