Henri Buisson
Henri Auguste Buisson (born July 15, 1873 in Paris , † January 6, 1944 in Marseille ) was a French physicist .
Henri Buisson received his doctorate in Paris in 1901. From 1914 to 1943 he was a professor at the University of Marseille . Since May 9, 1932, he was a corresponding member of the Académie des Sciences .
Charles Fabry and Henri Buisson are considered to be the discoverers of the ozone layer , as they were able to detect ozone in higher atmospheric layers for the first time in 1913 using UV spectroscopic measurements .
The Buisson lunar crater was named after him in 1970.
