Henri Freylinger

Henri "Heng" Freylinger (born September 23, 1926 in Schüttringen ; † January 17, 2017 ) was a Luxembourg wrestler .

Freylinger took part in wrestling in Greco-Roman style for Luxembourg at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki . He lost his welterweight bouts (up to 73 kg) against the Austrian Gottfried Angelberger and the Lebanese later bronze medalist Khalil Taha . Freylinger was a twelve-time Luxembourg national wrestling champion. His club was Le Coq Neudorf .

He first worked for the Luxembourg railway company, the Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois, and was then an armourer with his own company.

In 2008 he received the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for his participation in the Olympic Games .
