Henri Gagnebin
Henri Gagnebin (born March 13, 1886 in Liège , † June 2, 1977 in Geneva ) was a Swiss composer .
He studied organ with Louis Vierne , composition and orchestration with Vincent d'Indy and Joseph Lauber . From 1925 to 1957 he was director of the Geneva Conservatory . He had close friendships with Mstislav Rostropovich , Arthur Rubinstein , Ernest Ansermet , Andrés Segovia and Frank Martin . He died in Geneva in 1977.
