Henri Galeron

Henri Galeron (born December 4, 1939 in Saint-Étienne-du-Grès ) is a French illustrator and stamp artist .

Life

Henri Galeron studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Marseille , where he graduated in 1961. After several years in the publishing industry, Galeron has been working as a freelance artist since 1974, primarily in the field of book illustration. Among other things, he illustrated texts by Franz Kafka , Roald Dahl and Lewis Carroll, among others . In 1985 Galeron was awarded the Prix Honoré. In 1997 he started designing postage stamps for the French postal service . From 1987 to 1990 Galeron taught illustration at the École Émile Cohl in Lyon .

Galeron designs book covers, magazine and CD covers, games and much more. He lives and works in Montrouge .
