Henri Springuel

Henri Springuel (* 1889 ; † 1957 ) was a French racing car driver .

Racing career

Henri Springuel was a nephew of the Belgian automobile pioneer and designer Jules Springuel-Wilmotte (1874–1929). Springuel-Wilmotte produced road vehicles in Huy between 1907 and 1912 under the name Société Anonyme des Automobiles Springuel .

Henri Springuel competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps . The opening event of the 24-hour race at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps , he won together with Maurice Béquet on a 2-liter Bignan . He achieved another good placement in Spa in 1927 when he finished seventh overall.

He competed twice in Le Mans. After a failure in 1924 he was twelfth overall in 1925 .
